每到端午节，我家门上都会挂上一把菖蒲和艾草，那是妈妈买的，门口就飘着一股特殊的香味了。我搞不懂这是为什么，就去问妈妈：“妈妈，为什么要挂菖蒲和艾草呢?”妈妈摸摸我的头说：“端午节有许多的传说，其中就有说这一天是个恶日，有各种蚊虫妖邪出现。艾草是用来除虫的，它的香味能驱赶蚊虫，菖蒲是用来避邪的，意寓着健康平安。而且干的艾草叶用来给你们洗澡可以保护皮肤哦。”听了妈妈的介绍，我才知道原来它们都是好东西呀。

在端午节的这一天，我家的菜会特别丰富，妈妈总会按照外婆家的风俗，给我找与“黄”字有关的菜：红烧黄鱼，凉拌黄瓜，蒸咸蛋黄……而爸爸也会亲自下厨烧一盘大肉，里面有整个鸡蛋和大蒜。不管我们爱不爱吃，爸爸都要求我和弟弟每一样都吃一点。要是在老家过节，奶奶还会给我们的脖子上和手上绑上由几种颜色组成的彩线。

现在有许多国家都过起了端午节，韩国已向世界教科文组织申请了端午节。希望我们的传统节日越来越受到大家的重视。
