你们知道吗?在这片辽阔宽广的土地上，在这个繁荣富强的国土上，我们有过千年的封建和愚昧，有过闭关和自守，有过高傲和自大;至高权力三呼万岁的顶礼膜拜声，对抗不了混战、灾祸、饥饿的凶残!在外国列强的洋枪洋炮入侵下，我们的长辫子没有能甩出中国人的尊严，割地赔钱，丧国辱权……。从而有了百年的噩梦和百年的屈辱!

在1937年12月13日，日寇闯进南京城，对手无寸铁的南京人民进行了一次惨无人道的大屠杀。许多人被杀死后毁尸、被践踏，情况惨不忍睹。街道上到处是被烧毁的房屋，到处是血肉模糊的尸体。日寇不但对我国南京城进行大屠杀，还把南京城的财产洗劫一空。全城除了三分之一的财产被烧毁后，其余都被日军抢去。他们就像一群禽兽一样到处践踏着我国的国土。“江边流水尽为赤，城内外所有河渠、沟壑无不填满尸体。”

据1946年2月中国南京军事法庭查证：日军集体大屠杀28案，19万人，零散屠杀858案，15万人。日军在南京进行了长达6个星期的大屠杀，中国军民被枪杀和活埋者达30多万人。

中华民族在经历这场血泪劫难的同时，中国文化珍品也遭到了大掠夺。据查，日本侵略者占领南京以后，派出特工人员330人、士兵367人、苦工830人，从1938年3月起，花费一个月的时间，每天搬走图书文献十几卡车，共抢去图书文献88万册，超过当时日本最大的图书馆东京上野帝国图书馆85万册的藏书量。 南京大屠杀惨绝千古人寰!

虽然我国有过千百年的噩梦，但是我们不是“东亚病夫”，中国人站起来了。我们已不再沉睡，东方的一条巨龙已经站起来了。我们忘不了圆明园的火光，忘不了扣在每个中国人头上“东亚病夫”的帽子，忘不了公园门口“华人与狗不得入内”的牌子，忘不了南京三十万同胞的鲜血染红了长江。大地在呻吟，黄河在哭泣，然而中国人民永远也不会被压垮。

1949年10月1日，中国开始了新纪元，四亿人团结成一拳，战争已止步，春色入驻家园，世界上每一个人都开始对中国刮目相看。百废待兴，山河重现，千年古国焕发新颜;国家扬威，人民吐气，外国列强已不在我们面前强悍!每一名中国人，扬眉吐气，自豪之感油然而生!不再受气的日子，不再受辱的日子，不再任人宰割的生活，让每一个中国人喜色满脸、意气盎然!

1997年和1999年我们结束了百年噩梦和百年屈辱。从2001年申奥成功，到2008年北京奥运会成功举办。从2005年“神州”六号发射成功，到2008年“神州”七号航天员成功出舱，都代表着中国人民已经站起来了!

在2001年7月13日，北京时间22时零9分，国际奥委会作出了一个历史性的重大决定——将2008年奥运会主办权交给北京。同全世界所有的炎黄子孙一样，我怀着无比激动的心情，向伟大的祖国的美丽首都——北京，致以最热烈的祝贺!
