婚姻，是人生中最漫长的一段旅途，美满婚姻的基础是爱情。托尔斯泰说过：“只有爱情才能使婚姻变得圣洁。”跨国婚姻产生的一个最重要原因是双方彼此相爱。相爱，所以结婚。爱情可以跨越一切困难。在爱情基础之上的跨国婚姻与其他形式的婚姻在本质上没有任何区别，就谈不上利弊的存在。而从另一方面来说，跨国婚姻更能让双方了解彼此的国家，了解彼此的文化，促进更多国家的交流。
